Congratulations! Your cyber journey has landed you on the website of one of the best radio stations in the world. I've been honored to be a part of the ohana at Kauai Community Radio since its first year on the air, over 10 years ago. Time flies when you're having fun!
Growing up, I never thought I'd be a DJ but I have loved music my whole life. Home movie footage of me in the family living room testifies to my lifelong passion for music as my little 5 year old self busts out some dancing footwork that could rival James Brown. I hold vivid memories of perusing my father's vinyl collection like treasure in a vault, discovering icons like the Beatles bedecked in the crazy costumes of their Magical Mystery Tour.
Fast forward to the state-of-the-art cassette technology of my junior high school days when only the most dedicated had the patience to craft the "mixed tape". The beginning of my love for sharing music, I diligently hung by the stereo for hours, hand poised on the "pause" button, making a mixed masterpiece of my favorite songs to gift to friends.

These days, I'm on the air every other Monday, 3-5pm HST offering a program called Music as Medicine. My intention is always the same: good music is good medicine, so give a decent dose. Hosting the show is a remedy for me and where it goes is always a surprise. I never set a playlist in advance so the show is an adventure in finding out what the true master of ceremonies - what I call "the Cosmic DJ" - will pull from the archives.
