"Aloha Kaua`i"
Auntie Maria

Thursdays & Fridays 7-9am

In 1996, Butch Kekahu asked me to help build the Hawaiian music library for the soon-to-go-on-air KKCR.

Music distribution companies and record labels in Hawai`i were quick to respond to my plea for product for the station -- helping to launch the island music library for Kaua`i Community Radio!

Growing up in California in the 1950s, listening to "Hawai`i Calls" on the radio, I truly consider myself blessed to now be able to broadcast the music of the islands to the world via the internet. From my personal library of hundreds of vinyl albums, cassette tapes, CDs, and downloaded tunes, "Aloha Kaua`i" is filled with island music from yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The program's playlists are posted here after each broadcast. And please "Like" the "Aloha Kaua`i" page on Facebook.
